In 2020 SerendipEquity has signed the acquisition of a strategic stake in ZeroWatt Homes, a leading UK-Australia start-up developing innovative passive “podular” building technologies, formats and processes aimed at disrupting the fast-growing offsite pre-frabrication market for social and affordable housing globally.
In 2021 SerendipEquity has launched a JV with Bertone Design Group to develop the luxury end of the modular offering from ZeroWatt Homes and include a turn-key resort-like FF&E unique selling proposition. The Bertone Designer Homes are being born with the objective to add highly fashionable contemporary MADE_IN_ITALY design, branding and craftmanship to the green technology core of our portfolio company ZeroWatt Homes.
Some of our Senior Partners have grown such a high conviction on this disruptive investment strategy that they have decided to commit operationally by taking up executive roles at the portfolio companies level.
We are also actively looking at further add-on acquisitions and joint ventures to strengthen the technological and manufacturing back-bone of our Net-Zero Modular building technology platform globally.
